The Jamaican physician Harold Moody was a passionate campaigner against racial discrimination in London in the 1930s and 1940s. His politization, which eventually led to the foundation of the League of Coloured Peoples (LCP) in 1931, is best explained by two reasons: Firstly, the constant struggle in face of the “colour bar”, and second his strong Christian faith.
